After a very imperfect month of Carnivore, I’ve decided to weigh in today (instead of April 1st). I’ll be changing my eating plan for next week, and today was completely an off day.
Weight: 280.2 pounds
- This week -1.8 pounds
- Total -13 pounds
- Starting weight 293.2

Meal 1 – Garbage with gluten, sugar and a keto-approved salad & McDonald’s iced coffee (no sweetner)
Snack – Korean jerky
Meal 2 – Burnt Ends 1.25lb pork w/ SF BBQ sauce
My mother has been wanting to visit the regular Costco, because she’s been craving anything from their food court. So when I say today was an off day, I mean we didn’t restrict at all. However, this isn’t forever, and we decided it was 1 day only.
Cravings: Knowing we were going to be visiting Costco, I was curious about the new cookie they added to the food court menu. It was delicious, but I won’t describe how it was so it won’t be a temptation to you, the reader.
Energy: Felt low energy after dinner.
After a lifetime of weight issues, I feel like I’m understanding what works for my body and food addiction a bit more through Carnivore eating. The clean protein and fat is so satisfying, but I didn’t embrace the repetitiveness of the meals. Losing 13 pounds in a month is really amazing, and I celebrate that fully though! Thankful God led me to this way of eating through YouTube, and I’ll continue on tomorrow.
