Currently struggling with my cravings, especially if my routine is disturbed or something upsetting occurs. Having a guest stay over for a few days is definitely a disturbed routine, but not impossible to keep on Carnivore. Making carbs for the guest didn’t offer any temptation at all because they weren’t the ones I’m craving.

Meal 1 – 8 oz bacon + 4 eggs scrambled

Snack – Absolute garbage foods with carbs and gluten

Meal 2 – Steak Bites 1 pound

Snack – 2 servings string cheese

Cravings: I was attempting to avoid a house guest, so when I was thinking of being out and about, junk food sounded good. This was a stress response, because I overate so much more than necessary.

Energy: Slept well. Energy was fine, and lasted without a nap on Sunday.

While today would be a Carnivore failure, I am glad I saw the issue even if I proceeded anyways. I know it’s not right to respond to stress or emotions with food. Being active, doing a hobby I enjoy or even napping, would be a better response. But I decided to just do that bad thing, recognizing my next meal can be a better one.

Thank God I am doing this by choice, but I want to do better and respond better in future.
