Bonjour, everyone. Well….today I tried a dirty coffee, and immediately I had some feelings (laughing). Probably should avoid it altogether in future, or remove the fake sweetner. Fake sweetner isn’t included on Carnivore, nor is it recommended. Some other Carnivores report that fake sweetener trigger their cravings for processed foods. Learning lessons.

Meal 1 – Meat Frittata made the other night (1/3 lb ground beef, 3.4oz bacon, 1/3 cup cheddar cheese and just under 3 eggs) + McDonald’s large iced coffee with sugar-free French Vanilla

Yes, yes, I drank a processed iced coffee full of garbage while on Carnivore. I was up earlier than normal to do a favor, and I requested this coffee in return. Afterwards, I had minor stomach pain, and I’m not sure if the culprit is the coffee. This meal also was not filling…..or the fake sweetner triggered a hunger signal. Based on the ingredients, this meal should have been filling by itself (without the coffee). I will retest this dish, without the cheese, and with a couple additional eggs. No coffee next time!

Snack – 2 servings string cheese

Meal 2 – 1 pound of chicken breast cooked in 1 tbsp. butter + Carnivore Party Dip

  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt (low sugar)
  • 1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Bacon Bits
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional – Dill Pickle seasoning to taste (not Carnivore)

Chicken breast hasn’t satisfied my hunger in the past when I ate it solo as a meal. So I decided to try this dip to add more fat, in hopes I would feel satiated. Boy, did it work! Every bit of this dip was gone, and I have added this to my Repeat list. In the future, I’ll try less cheese and less bacon because this dip was FULL of flavor. Delicious, but I technically didn’t “need” all of it. (As I’m proofreading this post at 9:40pm at night, I think the amount of fat was just right to keep me satisfied. I am slightly hungry, but I will drink water for the rest of the night.)

Cravings: After the coffee, I was still hungry, but surprisingly I had no specific cravings for anything. All I wanted was more of my breakfast. Small win!

Energy: Woke up WITHOUT the “ugh” feeling for the first time since starting Carnivore! I definitely prefer this clear and bright feeling in the morning. Who wouldn’t??? And no afternoon slump.

Today felt really good. You ever have days like that, where you just thank the Lord for it? Happy little dance.
