The momentous day has arrived! I put off this day long enough attempting to eat through part of my mother’s stored foods, but the delay cannot continue. Watching video after video of other people sharing their Carnivore wins, why would I want to wait????
Here’s the plan:
“Dirty” Carnivore which includes dairy like heavy whipping cream, cream cheese and other cheese. I don’t plan to overindulge in the dairy because other Carnivores say it can stall weight loss. I want to lose weight during the journey, but I’m not giving myself a weight goal (I self-sabatoge goals). One meal a day will be dairy free, unless it’s somehow unavoidable while traveling.
The meats I enjoy are steak, ground beef, pork loin, pork belly, chicken breast, chicken thighs and a bit of lamb. I’ve had gyro lamb and ground lamb, but will try the chops during this adventure. Pork belly is actually new to me, but I’ve found out that pork belly bacon is delicious. As if pork meat and pork rinds had a belly…..bad joke, I know!
From what I’ve learned test-driving out meals and snacks over the past couple months:
- Batch cooking multiple servings helps when life is busy, so I have those extra meals for later.
- Buying in bulk from Costco saves me money, as does shopping weekly deals.
- On a trip, plan to bring snacks and bring meals on the road if possible (especially if I don’t fill up on burgers).
- Steaks are delicious all by themselves.
- Mindset is key to every obstacle, challenge and experience.
Here is my starting weight: 293.2 pounds
Starting this new way of eating with prayer, and I’m glad to have you following along with me! God hears you when you call out to Him.
