Wow….I am really glad I found this video before I took a break these last 2 months. Let’s just say that the past months have been a battle with my mindset.

In January, I moved back to my hometown to be with my mother, and my mindset was that of dread. I saw positives to help my mother and keep her company. But I also imagined negatives that affected my overall wellbeing and outlook.

February was all about my mindset on the future and my work. Again, my mindset was not framed positively, and again my overall wellbeing suffered. I came down with a flu or oxalate dumping, or both, which did not help with how I was feeling. I was down phystically and mentally for two weeks, just feeling like absolute garbage. It’s no fun in the gutter.

But thankfully God leads us to answers when we are seeking, and even when we aren’t. Watching YouTube, a man reminded me not to go back to Egypt, and to stay the course. The account of the Israelite journey out of Egypt, into the wilderness, before the Promised Land is a great read in Exodus. Why? Because we are all dealing with our own version of Egypt, the wandering in the desert and the promise land (if we obey and trust in God’s direction).

I’m currently in the desert of this story, and have been for the past couple years. Believe me, I don’t want to be in the desert for 40 years like the Israelites. And I especially don’t want to miss out on the Promised Land like a majority of those Israelites did. I don’t want my unbelief, distrust, yearning for the old ways (which aren’t God’s ways), to be the reason I miss out on the Promised Land in my life.

So what does this mean for my journey?

  • March 1st – I will gladly follow the Carnivore diet for 90 days minimum, and report my progress here.
  • I want to enjoy the work I do currently, while building towards a new business.
  • My business goal is written where I can read it, and it presents what I want to build. Within that goal is a smaller 1st goal that I will pursue. The bigger target is also within mind.
  • I will trust in God and believe in His best for my life, and I gladly follow Him and His direction.

I hope this is a timely reminder for you as well, and thank you so much for reading along during my journey. May God bless your faith and trust in Him always.
