In an effort to keep costs low, and vary my protein sources, I shopped the weekly sales. See below for the sales I was able to grab. Let me know if any prices are high or low for your area.

The weekly specials at the grocery store:

  • Buy 1, Get 1 free specialty Wisconsin cheese
  • Buy 1, Get 1 free pork loin
  • $13 for 3 pounds of 73/27 ground beef

Sunday – Gorgonzola turkey burgers, cooked in butter (about 200 calories of gorgonzola)

Monday – BBBE (Ground Beef+Butter+Bacon+Eggs) bowl……I made 4 bowls at once to eat later in the week, or to freeze for quick meals next week.

Tuesday – Top sirloin steak cooked in butter

Weds – BBBE (Beef+Butter+Bacon+Eggs) bowl

Thurs – Pulled Pork Omelet w/ 1.5 ounces cheddar cheese

Friday – Sirloin steak bites cooked in butter

Saturday – Hotel eggs and pork sausages

Week in review: Because I believe in the ability of Carnivore to improve my health, being surrounded by junk food at the grocery store didn’t bother me. I walked by all the junk food specials; no cravings drawing me, no feeling of deprivation or restriction. I’m already seeing improvements by removing gluten from my diet this month. See my separate post about my history with gluten, for those who also suffer from gluten intolerance.

This past weekend was also my first time traveling while trying to maintain 1 carnivore meal a day + gluten-free eating. The experience was interesting, and I’m having some thoughts about how to make it easier or more affordable to eat while traveling. I have more to ponder, to prepare and to research! Will blog about this soon.

I pray that God bless you and keep you. Have a wonderful week as we get closer to Christmas!
