During my transition into the Carnivore lifestyle, I decided to blog my weekly meals that classify as Carnivore. My spices aren’t perfect yet; Carnivore purists would say “Salt Only”. Use this as inspiration, or for meal planning on your own journey. In an effort to save money, I’ll be shopping with the weekly grocery store sales, and I’ll vary my protein sources. This week was post-Thanksgiving holiday, so I didn’t visit the grocery store until Tuesday.
The weekly specials at the grocery store:
- $7.99/lb whole top sirloin, cut as desired
- Buy 1, Get 1 Free eggs
Sunday – SAD (Standard American Diet) garbage meals
Monday – SAD garbage meals
Tuesday – Sirloin beef stew bites, cooked in butter
Weds – Uncured bacon and eggs, cooked in bacon grease
Thurs – Top sirloin, cooked in butter; topped with 133 calories of gorgonzola cheese.
Friday – Eggs cooked in butter, with uncured turkey bacon (**Won’t eat this bacon on Carnivore, since sugar is an ingredient.)
Saturday – Top sirloin, cooked in butter
Looking back: While these meals seem simple and repeated on multiple days, I felt satiated where cravings weren’t pestering me all day. No ingredients were wasted. Because I waited to eat until I was truly hungry, every meal tasted great. Simplicity, flavor and no food-waste are all wins in my eyes.
Have a great week, and may God bless you and keep you.
